CHESTER bounced back to winning ways with a resounding 5-0 victory over Preston Grasshoppers, the highlight being Mike Waight's return to form which earned him his first victory of the season.
The match started with two quick victories for Chester as Alistair Mutch brushed aside John Lambert in three easy games, and new boy Simon Culver won by the same scoreline against Chris Lengthorn.

Karl Hardy won 3-2 against Jason Sutcliffe, and Jon Hunter had to dig deep to win his game against Darren Vescovi. He took the first easily, but lost the next two games before finding his form in the last two games 11-4 and 11-0.

Mike Waight went unbeaten for 20 matches two seasons ago, but injury and a lack of confidence has seen him struggle and he had not won this year.

But he demonstrated fantastic form to blow away Merseyside county opponent, Keith Thomason away with a 3-0 victory.

Chester have now moved to the middle of the table and are away next week to Alderley Edge.
