MARK SHEPPARD finished joint top at West Lancs in the second of six PGA North Region fixtures in theWinter Pro-am Series.
Sheppard, from Wrexham-based club, Darland, showed consistency as he rolled in a brace of birdies which compensated for his lone bogey in a one-under par 71.

He was one of only three players to break par on the Blundellsands links, his score was matched by Prestbury assistant Mark Pilling and Lee Shepherd, from West Yorkshire club Willow Valley.

Matthew Tottey showed some of the fine form that has deserted him this year as he posted 72, the North Wales man finishing a shot in front of Ellesmere assistant Martyn Hamer, Houghwood's Barry Taylor and Romiley's Matthew Ellis, who won last week's opening event at Hillside.
