AROUND THE CHESTER WICKETS - STEVE OGILBY is relishing his team attempting to build on last weekend's memorable back-to-back victories.
The Chester Boughton Hall skipper steers his fifth placed side into action tomorrow at home to third-placed Nantwich in the Premier Division of the Cheshire County League.

Ogilby saw Boughton Hall defeat Oulton Park in their Twenty20 Trophy clash at Filkins Lane before compiling a 10 wickets league victory against Toft 24 hours later.

Alex Kegg starred for Boughton Hall with bowling figures of 5-52, and West Indian, Daron Cruickshank (63), partnered Eddie Roberts (59) to a comfortable victory.

Ogilby wants his side to continue their form from last weekend with another triumph tomorrow.

"We are on a high at the moment," highlighted Ogilby.

"We know Nantwich will be a tough proposition, but after beating Toft last weekend there is a good atmosphere amongst the team. They had a good Australian overseas player who was a crucial part of their side and fortunately for us he has gone back home.

"Everyone is looking forward to the match with Nantwich and trying to climb the table in the next few games. We can still push hard over the remainder of the season and finish in a good position."

Boughton Hall are set to make two changes to the side that saw off Toft last time around with Tom Ducker and Andy Leech replacing George Robertson and David Atkin .

PAUL ALLEN will be one of only five recognised first team players in action for Christleton tomorrow.

The skipper has been forced to call-up a string of second team players for the Little Heath club's home match in Division One against Cheadle.

He said: "Iroshan and Surresh de Silva, Matt Parkinson, Scott Graves, and me are the only regular first team players available to play in tomorrow's match.

"The university students and school teachers in the team have gone on holiday and other players aren't available because they are attending weddings.

"So I'm having to name Chris Brooks, Andy Heyland, Steve Jackson, and Russell Anderson from our second team in the side, and I know they are all capable of performing.

"If we can set a score then I know I'm more than confident of seeing us getting something out of the game.

"It's part of my job as captain to be confident and I'd like to see the lads coming into the team stake a claim for a regular place.

"We're currently 50 points ahead of the two bottom clubs and we'd have to do something stupid to get relegated.

"This stage of the season provides me with a chance to look at things for next season."

Allen saw his side suffer a collapse in last weekend's defeat against Bollington, despite Rick Moore's 5-36.

He said: "I thought we were always in control while I was batting, but we had to play on a bad track and I was eventually out to a ball that pitched to a length and failed to bounce any higher than my ankle.

"We played well considering the state of the wicket and I think it was the first time this season that nobody actually got themselves out."
