ALMOST 40,000 race-goers descended on the Roodee racecourse for the annual Sunday Funday – an eight per cent increase on last year.

A range of family activities were on offer on the course including Mr Alexander's Travelling Show, a bouncy castle, crazy golf, sumo wrestling and donkey rides.
