Theresa Bhandari, the widow of a Deeside businessman who died when he was accosted in a Chester street, has died after a car crash.
Theresa Bhandari, 76, of Garden City, Deeside, died from her injuries at the Countess of Chester Hospital on Thursday after being involved in a car crash on Friday, July 25.

Neighbours from the close-knit community described her as a lovely person who always had a smile on her face.

Carol Beattie, 62, who knew her for about four or five years, said: "She was a lovely person, she always had a smile on her face. I used to admire her because she had such a lovely way with people. It was very unfortunate what happened to her husband."

Mrs Bhandari had a son and a daughter and three grandchildren.

Mrs Bhandari's husband of 47 years, Amrit Bhandari, a Chester businessman, died in 2002 from a heart attack when he was approached by two women, including Sarah Campbell, near the former Odeon cinema.

Sarah Campbell, who was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to two and a half years in prison, died of an overdose at HMP Styal in January 2003, and her mother Pauline, who became a tireless campaigner for prison reform, was found dead near her daughter's grave in May.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened on the Welsh Road, Garden City, about 5.15pm on Friday, July 25 and involved a Rover 25 and a Fiat Panda. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 607 1002 (English) or 0845 607 1001 (Welsh).
