A MASKED raider held a shopworker at knifepoint.
Two hooded men went into the Ali Hassan Supermarket on Bunbury Green, Ellesmere Port on Wednesday at about 8pm when customers were still in the store.

Cheshire Constabulary spokesman Hans Sanders said: "They demanded money and terrified customers and staff. One member of staff was held at knifepoint."

But the pair were disturbed by another member of staff and ran away in the direction of Alnwick Drive. They did not steal any money.

Mr Sanders said: "Anyone with information should contact DC Neil Doleman on 01244 613174."

The men were described as wearing black, having their faces covered by hoods and aged between 20 and 25. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
