AN INQUEST into the death of a teenager has revealed he hanged himself.
Assistant deputy coroner for Cheshire, Jean Harkin, this morning opened an inquest into the death of Shane John Gareth Lloyd, of Ince Drive, Farndon.
The 19-year-old was found by Cheshire Police in a secluded wooded area overlooking the River Dee, off High Street, Farndon, at 7am on Saturday.
A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Lloyd died as a result of hanging. A full inquest will be heard at a later date.
Cheshire Police confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death
Friends of Mr Lloyd have paid tribute to him. A neighbour said on Tuesday: "My son knew him. All his friends are distraught."
The hanging is the third in Farndon in 10 months. On August 29 Richard Cantle, 23, was found hanging from the sign of the former Nag's Head pub in High Street.
Exactly one week later, on September 5, Robert Cyril Steventon, of Lime Tree Drive, was found hanged at his home.
