A TRIAL date has been set for a mother accused of murdering her four-year-old daughter.
Joanne Marie Hill appeared at Chester Crown Court for a brief pre-trial review this morning (July 23).

Hill, 31, of Goya Close, Connah's Quay, denies one charge of murdering four-year-old Naomi Hill on November 26.

Naomi was pronounced dead at the Countess of Chester Hospital in the early hours of November 27.

Hill, who used to live in Newton, Chester, appeared in the dock dressed in a plain black jacket and white top. She remained expressionless throughout the hearing.

The trial date was provisionally set for September 8 or 9 and Hill was remanded in custody by the Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards.
