ASPIRING actors are being offered the opportunity to perfect their theatre skills at a three-day course being run next week.
Acting UP!, run by Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council, offers young people a chance to develop their drama and performance skills.

Delivered by professional theatre company 2engage drama, the course will include instruction in improvisation, play devising, character work and stage make-up.

The course will be held at Ellesmere Port Specialist School of Performing Arts on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, August 12-15, between 10am and 3pm.

The borough council's arts development officer, Laura Orchard, said: "We're very grateful to Ellesmere Port Specialist School of Performing Arts for providing a venue for this exciting course.

"We hope as many young people as possible will imagine, explore and perform at Acting UP this summer."

The workshops are open to young people aged 11-16 and cost £5.

Places are limited and anybody interested in signing up is urged to book now on 0151 355 7652 or email laura.orchard@epnbc.gov.uk for more information.

Priority will be given to young people living within the borough.
