PUPILS swapped the classroom in Chester for the catwalk and dazzled onlookers with their own fashion creations.
Year 11 pupils from Blacon High School organised and staged their own fashion show and had the chance to model their designs to an audience of more than 300 proud parents and teachers.

Pupils at the Melbourne Road school were set the task of designing and making their own dresses and other fashion accessories as part of their GCSE coursework before helping to create a catwalk in the school hall.

Head of technology, Jacqueline Ash, who has been working closely with pupils to create the garments, said: "The show was a delight for all to see. They looked fantastic and the pride was there for all to see.

"It was the culmination of many weeks of hard work and dedication on behalf of the pupils and they should be proud.

"Pupils also created various dresses before inviting their siblings on stage to model them."
