Chester MP joins 'Proud of Pubs' celebrations

CHESTER MP Christine Russell popped into the Chester Bells on Grosvenor Street for a quick drink to help celebrate the second Proud of Pubs Week, running from July 13-20, organised by The Publican magazine.
Proud of Pubs Week is a national and local celebration of pubs and statistics show eight out of 10 adults count themselves as pub-goers, more than 600,000 people rely on beer and pubs for their employment, and pubs now offer a huge range of goods and community facilities, serving more than one billion meals a year.
