They are inviting primary schools to get their youngsters involved in the plays, mainly to take part in the Noah's Ark sequence, which musical director Matt Baker describes as "a musical in its own right."
The production team is working in partnership with Chester's Grosvenor Museum to recruit children who will be able to take part in music, masks, props and costume making workshops during the spring term.
On offer is a chance to perform alongside hundreds of actors, singers, dancers, musicians and street theatre artists in the huge pageant of the mystery plays in the summer. The children's work will also be displayed at the Grosvenor Street museum and local libraries.
There may also be an opportunity for a group of individuals, aged nine to 13, to form another animal group for performances and sessions with the museum covering history and prop-making.
If you or your school would like to be involved contact Kate Harland on 01244 402016 or
